New chair for QBE
QBE will have a new chairperson from July 4 with long-serving John Cloney retiring and being replaced by Belinda Hutchinson.
Cloney, who joined QBE as chief executive in 1981, became non-executive chairman in October 1998.
Hutchinson has been a member of the QBE Board since 1997 and is chair of the company’s investment committee. She has served on the boards of Telstra, Coles Myer, Energy Australia, TAB Limited, Crane Group and Sydney Water Corporation.
